Title change

I decided to change my blog's title. My passion for football(American translation:soccer) is something that will be a much better topic and theme of which I can write almost about anything. Criticize a team, a player or highlight a player's ability and success as well as a team's.

Joke of the day

If Teachers were like this, what would become of us?
Three high school professors were driving down the highway at a very slow speed. A policeman pulled them over and explained that driving so slowly on the highway could be hazardous. The driver pointed out the sign that read "20." He explained that he was going 20 mph because of the sign. The policeman pointed out that the sign indicated they were driving on Highway 20.
Somewhat embarrassed the professor apologized and promised to be more observant.
As the policeman turn to walk back to his car, he noticed the other two professors looking pale and scared to death! He asks the driver, "What's wrong with them?"
He replied, "We just turned off Highway 105."

A typical day in Oaxaca Part#1

This next post its meant to get people's attention and make them aware of the reality so that we can together make a difference so that this does not happen. It is not meant to offend anyone in any way. I'm just being honest about my own experience and opinions.
Since I arrived to Oaxaca I noticed that most people drive in a reckless manner. It seems as if they're either in a hurry all the time or they just want to race each other as in “I bet I can die before you, sucker.” Seriously, Oaxaca is the only city I have seen in which it's more likely to get hit by a car than tripping down the stairs of your home! Do they not care about other people's lives? Or more importantly, their own life? This does not exclude the motorcycle drivers and even the pedestrians. I have seen at least two motorcycle accidents and they are not pretty. I mean a guy colliding into the side of a car, getting thrown forward , and then crashing onto the pavement just to have a shattered leg, five broken ribs, and who knows what else, did not just mysteriously happen because he thought about stopping and making sure there were not any cars coming down the main street. Now pedestrians. These fellows are supposed to look in all directions so that no moving cars are located in the premises before crossing a street, not crossing a street while the stampede of cars has the green light! I, myself,  have gotten pretty close from getting run over by a car going in the wrong direction in a one way street. If it hadn't been that there were three big guys in the car I would have yelled at the driver to get some glasses because he did not see the sign saying 'One Way'.
So if you ever visit Oaxaca be careful when you cross the streets and just pray that you won't get run over by a speeding public transport vehicle.

Once upon a time...

...this kid was enjoying a nice day in the library talking with two friends when suddenly he remembers that he has to get back to his house before 4PM to be ready for soccer practice at 4:15. It was 3:30. So he had to leave ASAP or his father would take off to the practice without him. He leaves the school and luckily a kind gentleman offers him a ride to the VW so 1. He saved $5.50 2. He made it in half the time it would take on a bus. So thinking that he was still on time, he gets home and guess what?? His father left him. Well so by this time its 4:15 already so he changes into his soccer clothes and has no other option but to take his bike...Not the best idea. Reason#1. The chances for rain are pretty high. Reason#2. The stupid road is as dusty as heck!!
So you can figure out what happens next...He gets there blah blah blah....around 15 minutes later he gets to the soccer field and gets to run 3 laps on the whole field for being late....everything else is just gibberish and well by the time he gets home around 5:50 PM, he's freaking hungry, tired, and planning on 1. Not leaving school so late 2. Eating before practice & 3. Being in TIME! for practice.
So this is today's entry for this kid's beautiful life...haha.
