What was I thinking?

This last weekend I went to a camp up in the mountains in a place called "La Cumbre Ixtepeji" and just a word of advice; do not go there at this time of the year. It was so cold!! When you don't feel your fingers and toes no matter how many gloves, socks(or whatever you prefer to use) you put then you know its really cold. The first night I got there I was like "oh its not that cold.....10 minutes later....holy crap! why did I come here in the first place?!?! The second day the sun decided to take a break so it didn't show up. So that day was so foggy and rainy that the cold chilled you right to the bone. Fortunately, the last day guess what? When I woke up I was like "dang it, its going to be cold...again.." but then I saw the beautiful sight; sunshine coming through the tree tops and smiling at me saying, here you go happy now? I gotta say I was ecstatic since the last two days had been a little bite of what real cold is and of which I don't even want to try..ever... So that last day was alright, but then the sun decided that that was enough sunshine for the day and it started to get cold really fast. Luckily, by then I was getting ready to go back to my "civilization" and especially my warm, cozy room.
So next time you have in mind a camp, hike, or anything to do with the wilderness and you don't like cold weather too much, DON'T GO!...(unless you really want to suffer) but what can I say I mean if you do go it will be at your own risk.

Real Steel

Best movie I have seen in 2011. Let's hope they make a sequel. That would be pretty awesome.

Hard time for Milan player Genaro Gattuso

Unfortunately for Milan, Gattuso has been diagnosed with brain paralysis after crashing into teammate Alessandro Nesta during the match vs. Lazio last week. He is one of my favorite defensive players. Fearless and always playing hard and going for every single ball. I hope that he gets better soon. He says that he can't see with his left eye so he's going to contact a surgeon in the US to treat him and hopefully make a fast recovery. Let us hope that Genaro keeps showing the world what he is capable of and why he is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world.

18th birthday Pt.2

To contrast the last post, when one turns eighteen one starts going a little crazy about what one will be able to do now that he is a legal adult.  I mean one is in college; no parents, no restrictions, no limits of any kind....the first thing you want to do is obey rules right? what? rules? forget rules!!! let's enjoy freedom!! haha...can't wait till that day comes! although I still don't know what I want to do to celebrate that....any ideas? Anyways going back to the main theme when one turns eighteen one thinks of every possible way to break the rules that restrained him right? now one can do pretty much anything but there is a catch to it...if you go way over the line then there might be no return from that so we need to be careful and balance out between the fun and the consequences our actions may have...
If you have a comment concerning this feel free to post...

18th birthday Pt.1

I've been wondering if when we turn 18 years old, do we really act like one? I mean isn't eighteen the transition between being a teenager and being an adult? Unfortunately for us teenagers this does not apply most of the time. I have seen 18 year olds that act as if they were 12 so where's the maturity? Anyone have opinions about this? You don't have to be close to turning 18 to answer this, in fact it might be easier for you to compare yourself to an eighteenth year old you might know.

Smart...donkey

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for ...hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.
He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.
A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.
As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!
MORAL :
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.
2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happens.
3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less from people but more from God.

Gun Control?

I found this on one of my Facebook friends' wall and I just think its hilarious and sometimes even true...Comment just to let me what you think
